Super Scientists!

external image science_labwork(1).gif

In the modern world it is vital that our children are exposed to all types of learning experiences. With SUPER SCIENTISTS! students will have the chance to put themselves into the roll of scientists. They will have the opportunity to choose an experiment and present it our class. These experiments will be conducted once or twice a month (depending on our schedule). Your child will be assigned a date with several weeks notice.
Students may choose from one of the experiments sent home in the bag with the letter or they may choose an experiment from somewhere else. PLEASE CHOOSE A SIMPLE EXPERIMENT THAT YOU CAN PERFORM BY YOURSELF IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. They may want to search the internet, visit a library or read a science book to find the perfect experiment. It's okay if you share a similar experiment or conduct a variation of you have already seen presented, because good scientific research and experiments need to be repeatable to be accurate.
Students must practice the at home several times so that they will know exactly what steps they need to do when they come to school to present. Please help your child practice at home. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PACK ALL OF THE SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED INTO YOUR BAG AND BRING IT TO SCHOOL ON YOUR SUPER SCIENTIST DATE! Students will also complete a LAB REPORT prior to their presentation and bring it back to school (click below if you need another one).

*Schedule will be posted here once it is created with the students.
